Sustainability
At The Nature Home Company, sustainability is approached with quiet intention. It is not an add-on, but an inherent part of how we curate, source, and design.
We believe that true luxury lies in longevity, integrity, and respect for the natural world. By offering high-quality, ethically sourced pieces designed to stand the test of time, we encourage a more conscious approach to consumption - one where products are cherished, passed down, and reused for generations, helping to reduce waste and support a greener future.
THNC was created in Vancouver, BC - hailing as one of the most globally recognized cities in North America for its aggressive climate policies and lowest-in-North-America carbon footprint. Combined with a background in Interior Design and Environmental Management, The Nature Home Company believes that Sustainability doesn't have to compromise on style.

Considered Sourcing
Each piece within our collection is carefully selected from trusted, certified suppliers who uphold the highest standards of environmental and ethical responsibility. We work closely with partners who prioritise transparency, responsible material sourcing, and low-impact production methods.
From sustainably managed forests to conscious manufacturing processes, every stage is considered - ensuring that what enters your home has been created with care and accountability.
Local Craftsmanship
Wherever possible, we collaborate with local artisans and independent makers. This not only reduces transportation impact, but supports skilled craftsmanship and preserves traditional techniques.
These pieces bring a sense of individuality and authenticity - subtle nuances that elevate a space beyond the ordinary.

Global Perspective, Responsible Materials
While we place strong emphasis on local sourcing, we also work with a select number of international makers. This allows us to access exceptional craftsmanship and materials not available locally, broadening the depth of our collection.
Regardless of origin, our standards remain uncompromising. Many of our internationally crafted pieces are made using high-quality, sustainable materials such as responsibly sourced timber, reclaimed wood, natural fibres, and low-impact finishes. Each supplier is carefully vetted to ensure alignment with our environmental and ethical values.
Enduring Design
We favour timeless forms over fleeting trends. By prioritising quality materials and refined construction, our pieces are designed to endure - both in style and in structure.
This commitment to longevity reduces the need for replacement and encourages a more thoughtful, lasting relationship with the objects we live with.

A Conscious Approach to Living
Sustainability, to us, is about making considered choices - selecting fewer, better pieces that contribute to a home of quiet luxury and lasting value.
Every item is chosen with intention, allowing you to create a space that feels both elevated and responsible.
Anti-Greenwashing
We believe that one of the most important aspects of sustainability is transparency. Rather than making unrealistic claims, we aim to be honest about both our achievements and our limitations.
There are certain environmental impacts that cannot be entirely avoided, such as transportation and shipping. However, we believe consumers deserve clear information so they can make informed purchasing decisions based on what matters most to them.
For example, an artisan-crafted solid wood furniture piece may need to be shipped from overseas due to the origin of the timber or the expertise of the maker. While this does involve transportation, it can also result in a high-quality piece designed to last for generations, reducing the need for replacement and helping to minimise waste over time.
To further reduce unnecessary environmental impact, products are shipped directly from our suppliers to our customers whenever possible. This avoids additional transportation between warehouses and eliminates the need for us to hold excess inventory.
